This unique consulting firm specializes in the management and development of camps, outdoor education centers, retreat and conference centers. Mr. Oates is an experienced camp leader with the skills to address the practical aspects of the operation without losing site of the mission.  His knowledge of the day to day issues of management allows him to guide leaders in setting realistic goals that empowers the vision to grow into a sustainable enterprise.

Director of Camps and Retreats, West Ohio Conference, United Methodist Church, 1999-present

Directed the visioning and re-creation of all aspects of this multi-site operation - developed new program models, stabilized the financial operation, introduced new staffing models, increase use through effective marketing, applied new technologies, updated facilities, consolidated the sites from six locations to three locations, developed collaborative partnerships, completed strategic and master plans to guide growth.
